Man, I haven't put up a YT vid in ages. Oo It turns out that I had a few run-ins with real life events to attend to these past couple of weeks, so it might have been a rough ride as far as I know. On top of that, I pulled through and swagged a Wii last week so that and the games I obtained in the package consumed a lot of my time. One of which was Crash of the Titans, the latest in the series of Crash games. I know some people were awkward over its direction while some others praised it at the same time, so it's hard to see if I'm finding the right audience with this one. But anyways, the peeps at Crash Mania urged me to get this brief footage in concerning the end portion of Episode 10. There was a discussion on how to tackle the titans there - two Scorporillas and a bunch of Sludges (the latter being bound to cream people on their first attempts). I mentioned how I overcame it by use of a nearby freejack mask and not having to use the tricky-to-pull-off backflip technique to reach it at the same time. And this demostrates my theory - using the scenery to jump and climb my way towards it. Kudos goes to those guys as well for the suggestion of going for Scorporilla with the freejack instead of the Sludges. This is also the first uploaded recording that actually got me to record the sound other than over the air. I am working on remedying this issue. ***** PART 1 of interviews conducted with available emeriti faculty in the Sociology Department at Kent State University during January and February of 2009. I asked them a number of questions, including: (1) Is sociology a 'tradition' in any sense? (2) What is sociology to you? (3) What drew you to sociology? And (4) What is the single most important bit of wisdom that you'd like to share with bright, young minds who might be thinking about a career in sociology? For the opening shots, I tried to use Magic Bullet Looks to capture the spirit of tradition by going for a "bronzy," aged kind of look. It works for me, but I'm not sure how more experienced eyes will relate to it. I had a limited number of shots to work with, as this was my first time using the Letus Mini with my Canon HV30, and much of what I ended up with didn't look presentable at all - too much vignetting, focusing problems, etc. I used all that was usable. A DVD version of the video will be aired on May 1, 2009 at the annual banquet of the Sociology Honors Society, which this year will include a part in the program where the emeriti faculty will be formally recognized for their contributions to the department, university, and discipline - in short, for their contributions toward carrying on the 'tradition' of sociology. Just got the Canon Legria Fs 306 today ( for work) and tested it on our trip to St. Peter Ording Beach. I used it right out of the box . Well i only loaded the batterie which took about 3 hours. I even didn´t read the manual so no changes to the default settings except adjusting the clock and date. Settings are all to auto . Filmed in movie mode with SP quality (about 6 Mbits). There is some saturation noticable in the sky in a few shots. Need to make some more tests in XP mode (about 9 Mbits) to see if i can get rid of it. (READ UPDATE BELOW!) More tests to come after reading the manual,lol. This is an SD camcorder but i decided to upload the video in HD format . I hope i don´t loose any quality. (Update: What you can see here at youtube is only 60 percent of the quality compared to watching the same stuff on a LCD TV!) Original video specs: MPEG-2, 720 × 576, 16:3 Audio: 128 AC3 2/0, 48 kHz, 256 kbps the 306 works very well with iMovie 09. You can either select individual or all clips to import into the iMovie library and/or you can copy the complete SDHC card contents (including images and camcorder settings) to your Mac. iMovie gives you a preview of each clip so you can decide what you want to import and what not. UPDATE: I watched the video on my LG 26" LCD TV and there is no saturation in the sky visible. Looks very smooth. I only noticed few mpeg artifacts here and there. Guess it will go if i change the video quality settings to XP mode .

WARNING - If you carry out this repair, you are doing so entirely at your own risk. Although it worked OK with my camera, remember that things can get BETTER as much as WORSE. Just be aware. Someone from Canada tried it and it did not work for him (no more info). If the camera is under warranty, it will become void if you mess about with it; so please do not attempt this if you don't feel confident to do so. My Sony PC110 camcorder has been showing the error C:31:22 and C:31:23 on and off intermittently for the past 6 months. Sometimes after inserting another tape it will work for a while, but the tape was not at fault. I read the comments on this forum www.camerahacker.com and smacked the camcorder 2 to 3 times as Debbie suggested. No luck. If anything, things got worse, or did they? After I removed the tape I noticed the small black tape roller (see cylinder in black rubber) had fallen off its pin and was loose inside the camera. Refer to Ahmed Jasim's comment with pictures at the above link on 9 Jan 2007. I also suggest looking inside the camera's mechanisms to see if the plastic locking piece is lodged somewhere inside it. In this case you can assemble it back on the roller and all should work. I could not find my locking piece, so I carried on as follows: I took the loose roller out and inserted the tape again. The error changed to C:31:11 and some times to C:31:42. I opened the tape's compartment door but the tape did not eject (I assume because roller was missing ...
